Effigy Awards 2009 - The Results Are In

Dear Friends - Artists, Reviewers and Fans on Fame Games,

If you haven´t noticed yet, then head over to www.famegamesradio.com and check out the EFFIGY AWARDS RESULTS 2009 Shows, parts 1 and 2.

Lots of fun and surprises there, but most importantly it´s a review of some of the best music on Fame Games which you just can´t help but be impressed by.

Some categories were incredibly contentious, where going from ´´Finals´´ to ´´Nominations´´ sometimes meant a difference of literally one or two votes, while selecting the winner from among equally fabulous nominees caused constant exasperation on part of all our judges.

Did the fans get it right? Did the experts?

Some superb artists from previous years never made the Finals, much to our disappointment. Why not? Simply not enough votes. Being an independent artist means you need to rally your fan base - and build on it. And then ask them to take part. That´s just the way it is. Some kings got dethroned, some underdogs elevated, and some past winners reaffirmed their ongoing supremacy!

So, judge the results for yourself and listen to both shows in full, and then give us your feedback! Nearly 100,000 votes have been received this year, which is an Effigy Awards record to date.

To listen to the shows, go to the front page of the Fame Games site (www.famegamesradio.com) and look under ´´Latest Daily Shows´´ on the right. Both parts of the Effigy Results show are there. Each part is just under an hour long, but we guarantee it will pass quickly! ) You can also use a different player, if you prefer, if you go to the ´´Specials´´ tab under ´´Latest Special Shows´´ on the left side of the screen.

The results will be officially published on the Effigy Awards page, but not before everyone´s had a chance to experience the suspense first hand. Give it a week or so. Also around that time, we´ll update all the profiles with all the new certificates.

During the show, the on-air panel had no idea what the results would be, so all the reactions are genuine, captured live as they happened.
